Robert Peston to make personal appearance at Bristol Festival of Ideas

23 October 2017

Robert Peston, the ITV Political Editor and former BBC journalist, will take an in-depth look at western politics and social changes in a special event as part of the 2017 Bristol Festival of Ideas.

The experienced journalist will give his insights into the events and context of dramatic events such as Brexit, the election of Donald Trump and the recent British and French elections which saw a revolt against the main parties.

The subjects to be covered at the event, which will take place at We The Curious on Friday November 10th, will include the rise of Jeremy Corbyn, Donald Trump and Theresa May and the future for Britain as the move away from the European Union looms.

Immigration, austerity, threats to democracy and the Grenfell Tower tragedy which saw so many people lose their lives will also be covered at an event held in association with the University of the West of England.

You can find out more about the event and buy tickets here.
