Bristol Refugee Festival is a month-long programme of arts, cultural and educational events that takes place every June around National Refugee Week, bringing together communities from across Bristol to celebrate the contribution refugees make to the city.

The aims of the Festival are

  • To promote better understanding as to why people seek sanctuary
  • Help overcome misconceptions around refugee and asylum seekers
  • Value the diversity and talent that incoming communities bring to Bristol
  • Support successful integration in to host communities
