You might think that Volksfest 2017 is a car show, but while the name gives away its Volkswagen-based theme, there’s so much more to this wonderful event.
The festival will return to the outskirts of Bristol in June 2017 to give attendees a real treat, bringing together the wild and wacky as well as great food and drink.
This year’s Volksfest is notable for many reasons. Firstly, it’s the 25th one held in the Bristol area, and has a new home! In 2017 the festival is moving to North Somerset, more specifically to Birches Farm in Long Ashton.
The 2017 event will have a Vaudeville/Circus theme, tapping into Bristol’s love for all things relating to acrobatics, clowns and burlesque.
So expect the macabre and the weird along with fancy dress competitions, strong men, two-headed freaks, bearded ladies and plenty more.
The festival has a new date as well as a new home, and organisers say they are looking forward to welcoming visitors to their new home.
