The Downs Festival 2018 will be the biggest and best yet, organisers have promised.
Returning to one of Bristol’s best-loved green spaces on Saturday, September 1st, the all-day festival will once again feature a top music line-up and The Information stage, where keynote speakers discuss thought-provoking topics.
The event has only taken place twice but is already a firm favourite in the Bristol festival calendar, bringing tens of thousands of people up to The Downs.
In 2016 tickets to see Massive Attack, supported by Primal Scream and Skepta, play their first major concert in their home sold out in double quick time, while last year Elbow headlined a line-up that included De La Soul, Seasick Steve, Soul II Soul, Groove Armada and David Rodigan MBE.
Bristol’s own Roni Size also played a memorable set, marking twenty years since his Mercury Prize-winning album New Forms put the city on the map as a melting pot for drum and bass.
Details of this year’s music line-up are yet to be revealed so keep an eye on The Downs Festival 2018 website for updates.
