Submerge: Bristol’s International Digital Arts Festival is back – bigger, better and more diverse than ever.
The festival offers a bold and diverse selection of immersive digital arts shows, installations and experiences which challenge the senses. Highlights include headline performances from Actress + Young Paint, Gazelle Twin, JASSS and Batu and UK premieres from Guillaume Marmin and Jan Mocek.
Appropriately for a year fraught with conflict, the 2019 theme is Belonging. The festival has a distinctly European flavour, featuring audiovisual artists, bands and musicians working in radical theatre, digital installation, sound, live music and immersive experience design.
This year’s line-up offers something for everyone with events taking place throughout the day and long into the evening at venues around the city. Submerge events are individually ticketed, allowing you to curate your own festival path.
The festival allows the curious to spectate, indulge, immerse or to be challenged, but overall the message of Submerge is one of welcome.
Submerge: Bristol International Digital Arts Festival 2019 runs from 1 to March 10, 2019, at venues throughout Bristol.
