Returning to mark the momentous 50th anniversary since it was first held, the St Pauls Carnival 2018 will once again bring the streets alive in July.
The first ever event, originally called the St Pauls Festival, took place in 1968. The event has changed many times over the years but has always remained a celebration of the local community.
From a small parade of floats, Carnival evolved over the decades into a vibrant day of colour and music with soundsystems aplenty and tens of thousands of people flocking to St Pauls to enjoy a party that went on into the small hours.
This year, for the historic 50th anniversary celebrations, St Pauls Carnival 2018 is being run by a new Community Interest Company or CIC.
As the committee put their plans together, they are keen to hear from local people who want to be involved on the big day, be it as carnival costume makers, vendors or volunteers.
