The SKINT Theatre Festival will bring an entire weekend of micro-theatre madness to Bristol city centre at the end of April.
With a series of strange tales being played out in the cells under The Island off Nelson Street, this pop-up theatre event will be a fast-paced weekend of storytelling under the banner of ‘Stranger Tales’.
Organisers said: “We’ve filled our jail cells full with 11 of the UK’s most talented performances who’ll be bringing you bite-sized (15 minutes) Stranger Tales -eccentric stories of the odd, uncanny and surreal.”
There won’t be too much waiting around, as there will be a new 15-minute performance show starting every five minutes. If ticket holders need a break there will be the SKINT Jailhouse Bar on site featuring an open-air courtyard, music, games and locally-brewed ales plus delicious cocktails.
Acts will be revealed nearer the time, see the SKINT website for details.
Tickets are just £4 per performance and there is no need to book as they will be available on the day.
