Bristol Pride is the annual celebration of the city’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community and one of the most colourful events of the year. A not-for-profit festival, organised by members of the LGBT community, it has grown in recent years and now attracts major names to perform across its various stages. In 2018, Lisa Stansfield, Little Boots and Rozalla were all playing Pride.
Although the headline-grabbing part of the festival is the July weekend, the Pride team actually work all year round to challenge homophobia and promote equality and diversity through school visits, consultation services and lobbying.
Pride’s year-round programme includes comedy, theatre, dance and an award-winning film festival.
This year’s event will take place from 1st-14th July, with Pride Day on Sat 13th July.
