Bristol Doors Open Day is a once-a-year chance to look behind closed doors and discover the city’s hidden treasures. Previous years have seen people allowed into normally restricted zones such as the tunnels under Temple Meads, historic church crypts, hospital buildings and even a Roman villa.
You can explore fascinating buildings, join guided tours and enjoy a range of events and activities – all free for the day, although you will need to book in advance for the most popular locations. Join in for a day of discovery across the city and a celebration of Bristol’s vibrant history, architecture and culture. Bristol Doors Open Day is organised by the Architecture Centre, Bristol’s centre for architecture and design, based on the Harbourside.
