The Bristol Folk Festival 2017 will take place on April 29th and 30th, with the venues yet to be confirmed.
A not-for-profit social enterprise, the festival has grown into one of the city’s most popular events and is a great part of the May Day weekend.
In a city with a superb reputation for music, from dance to indie rock and jazz, the Bristol Folk Festival shows off a side of the local scene that doesn’t always get the headlines.
Most nights of the week there are acoustic acts playing at venues across the city and the festival creates space for their melodies, and those of some top national and international artists, to be heard.
It’s not just about the music either, there will be plenty of traditional dances on display.
Full details are yet to be released so keep an eye on the folk festival website for any news.
