A popular annual festival offering unique free access to many buildings, Doors Open links people and places across the city. Produced by The Architecture Centre in association with Heritage Open Days.
It’s a once-a-year chance to discover the city’s hidden treasures and explore fascinating buildings and take in guided tours – all for free!
This year, which is the 24th festival, the programme will for the first time take place over four days, with activities appealing to all ages and interests, from dawn to after dark.
Doors Open events see the public allowed into places that are normally closed to them, and have proved hugely popular over the years.
The event is co-ordinated by Bristol’s Architecture Centre, working with the Bristol Tourist Information Centre, and is part of Heritage Open Days, which takes place across England in September.
For more information as the year progresses you can visit the Doors Open website or follow the event on Twitter at @BristolDOD or on Facebook at @BristolDoorsOpenDay.
