The Bristol Acoustic Music Festival provides music of all genres ranging from Folk to Electro Pop, Bluegrass to pop and everything in between. Jelli Records Ltd (JRL) has been running the Bristol Acoustic Music Festival in one guise or another for eleven years and it has become a firm fixture on the Bristol music calendar. It was first put on at the Bristol Folk House and later it moved to St George’s Hall and more recently it has found a home in Bristol’s Colston Hall. The festival is traditionally held in January of each year and has played host to many well-known names in the music business. Although called the Bristol Acoustic Music Festival, like many festivals, it is broader in its genres, although it does not include rock music. As the festival has grown so have the audiences with approximately 1,000 to 1,500 people visiting during the day and evening. Colston Hall’s foyer area and Lantern hall are used with music related workshops and festival stalls complementing the musical offering.
